    Counseling for Couples in Crisis

Counseling for Traumas, Affairs, & Couples in Recovery

At Believe, Hope, Inspire Wellness Services LLC we have dedicated a special counseling office for couples in crisis to invest the time to see if they can save their relationship.

You can just come in or a one-hour session and get a feel for how relationship therapy goes. It’s a pretty crazy process to share your life with a stranger, so you can start off really slow.

From there we offer our Mini-Marathon Counseling Sessions, a longer time together, still following the principles in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and skills learned in Gottman’s “Treating Traumas and Affairs” and “Couples in Addiction Recovery”. It’s a proven method to gently and fairly work through all the stuff you’ve been through.

    You will learn to:

Process the trauma responses that a betrayal produces.

    Regulate intense emotions with self-compassion

Increase good communication skills to stay in a conflict discussion long enough to solve a problem or understand more

    Consider forgiveness

Explore whether a second, stronger relationship can be built over time

     What to Expect

You’ll come to our spacious office suite dedicated to just the two of you, where there’s plenty of room for each of you to take a break, regroup, and gather your thoughts. If you chose a Marathon Counseling Session, the first day we’ll spend about 3 hours together, taking plenty of breaks and spending time working on you and the two of you.

We’ll do a second 5-hour session that includes morning and afternoons breaks and an extended lunch hour. We will go at your pace and offer you a variety of learning styles including videos, breakout sessions, and white board exercises.

The relationship counseling process will take time and not every relationship can or should be saved. Whether you stay together or work toward new lives apart, the therapy can provide you with the skills you need to make the best decision for you both.

NOTE: Mini-Marathon Sessions are NOT appropriate in situations where there are ongoing affairs, active addiction, threats of violence, untreated chronic mental illness, or when clients are experiencing suicidal or homicidal thoughts or have a history of inflicting self-harm.
